Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using DisplaySync, you agree to these terms. If you're using DisplaySync on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that company.

2. The service

DisplaySync is a cloud-based digital signage management platform for events. We provide:

• Web dashboard and mobile app for managing signs, content, and events
• Desktop sign application for displaying content on screens
• Real-time monitoring and analytics
• Usage-based billing via Stripe

3. Accounts and access

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must not share account credentials or allow unauthorized access
• Organization owners are responsible for managing member access and roles
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for illegal purposes
• Upload malicious content or attempt to compromise the service
• Interfere with other users' access to the service
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code
• Resell access to the service without authorization
• Use the service to display content that violates applicable laws

5. Content and data

• You retain ownership of content you upload to DisplaySync
• You grant us a license to host, display, and transmit your content as necessary to provide the service
• You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to display any content on your signs
• We may remove content that violates these terms or applicable law

6. Billing and payment

• Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe
• Pricing consists of a platform fee plus per-sign-day usage charges
• Usage is calculated based on linked, active signs during each billing period
• You can cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period

7. Service availability

• We aim for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime
• We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability
• We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of planned maintenance
• We are not liable for damages resulting from service interruptions

8. Limitation of liability

DisplaySync is provided “as is.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

• You may delete your account at any time
• We may suspend or terminate your access for violation of these terms
• Upon termination, your data will be deleted per our privacy policy retention schedule

10. Changes to terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Alameda County, California.
